This chair works great! We use it for a 9 month old as well as a 2 1/2 year old. It feels very sturdy and secure for both of them. The clamps go right onto the table but have padding as to protect the surface. As advertized, it goes completely flat for storage and is light as a feather. Great for traveling to relatives or restaurants.
