I bought a Ride Safer Travel Vest for my 4 year old son just before we were to travel by plane. Being a big child he isn\'t required to sit in a car seat on the plane anymore so I was relieved to find a product that could be packed easily into our checked luggage and that is actually rated as safer than a traditional booster seat. I was slightly apprehensive that my son would balk at wearing the travel vest but I had nothing to worry about - HE LOVES IT! He won\'t take it off when we go into the stores and if he had his way he would wear it all the time. In fact now that we are back home he wants to use his Ride Safer Travel Vest instead of his car seat!

We recently purchased two of these seats for our two small boys. They worked out great. They are especially convenient in terms of packability. We have six kids, and between luggage, carry-ons, and little ones who decide they need to be carried too....trying to cart heavy, bulky carseats through crowded airports, security screens and gate checks was a bit much. With these vests, however, we were able to pack and remove them with ease as we needed them. The boys did very well wearing them, and we love the safety factors. We were so impressed, in fact, that we will be using them "around town", not just "around the world". Thank you TWK for offering such great products and great service!

I recently purchased one of these for my 4 year old son, after the birth of my 3rd child. My primary reason for the purchase was so that we could fit 3 carseats in the car. We absolutely love it! It takes up so little space and is easy to wear. We will probably purchase another one for my 3 year old when she is big enough to use one. I was afraid my son wouldn't like it because he can't see out the window as well as with a booster seat. This hasn't been an issue at all The only drawback is that my son is not able to buckle himself into the car anymore. This frustrates him and is inconvenient for me, but it is worth the minor inconvenience. After a little bit of work, he is now able to get himself out of the car and he's working on learning to mostly buckle himself in.

This product is wonderful. I am currently overseas and rely on taxis and buses to get around. It was hard lugging a booster sit, a child and a diaper bag. Now all I say is let's put your car seat on-which makes him laugh! My little guy is able to walk with it on! It fits very snug and is easy to use. I feel that my child is safer in this then a booster sit! The price is great too! I recommend the ride safer travel vest for everyone that travels!

We purchased a Ride Safer for both of our children who are now past the booster seat requirement, but need flexability and security. We couldn't be more pleased. Our 7 year old daughter actually got hers first and was a bit reluctant until we got her 8 year old brother his. Now we couldn't be happier. In our case thew "extra effort" to buckle and unbuckle is a nice reminder for the kids to NOT unbuckle. It was great on the air plane too. They now have absolutely no problem wearing it since it is designed so well and is comfortable. Plus as someone else pointed out it can be easily used in other cars such as when riding with friends and relatives. A great product that kids will actually use without argument or hassle. And the extra safety it provides is a real blessing. If you love your kids and desire them to be safe in any car, please, buy this product! The pice of mind alone is worth the price. Excellant quality, good service.

I researched booster seats, other portable systems such as the Safeguard Go and the Eddie Bauer portable, and portable car seats such as the Sunshine Kids Radian 65 and 80, and other solutions too. The Ride Safer Travel Vest was an easy winner in terms of cost, safety, comfort, and ease of portability. We live in New York City so this will also be great for taxis. The use is pretty straightforward as well -- you simply feed the car's existing belts into the metal guides on the vest, and there's a top tether to clip above the seat as well (where car seats clip into). As soon as I took it out of the box I was extremely impressed with its quality construction, I was also amazed to see full disclosure of its crash test results on the OUTSIDE of the box (I haven't seen that on any car seat). The results far surpassed federal guidelines. And our daughter couldn't wait to try it on. Of course, she wants to wear it all the time. She thinks it's very cool! The only thing that would make it even better is to engineer it for FAA approved airplane use as well, which looks like it only needs an accessory strap to go around the seat somewhat like the CARES harness.

I ordered 2 of the Ride Safer Travel Vests for my 4 and 6 year old daughters for a road trip. I thought it would give them more comfort for the long car ride. I was a little nervous about how they would like them, but as soon as they saw them they were so excited to try them on! They called them their "big kid" vest, since they wouldn't need their carseats anymore. I'm writing this review while still on our trip and I am happy to say the vests are a success! The girls are wearing them with no complaints! I am very pleased with my purchase.
